Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is a linear polysaccharide belonging to the glycosaminoglycans, formed by repeating units of D-glucuronic acid and N-acetyl-D-glucosamine. It is naturally present in the extracellular matrix of connective tissues and contributes to their hydration, elasticity and integrity.
