CSQA FSSC 22000
FSSC 22000 — Food Safety System Certification Scheme 22000 — is the international standard for the certification of food safety management systems throughout the supply chain. It was developed in 2009 by the Foundation for Food Safety Certification with the aim of harmonizing certification requirements and methodologies related to food safety, making certificates comparable in terms of content and objectives between operators in different countries and sectors.
The standard is based on a set of complementary standards: ISO 22000:2018 — which defines the requirements for a food safety management system — integrated with ISO/TS 22002-1:2009, which specifies prerequisite programs (PRPs) for food production, and with the additional requirements specific to the FSSC 22000 scheme in version 6, which is mandatory for all certified operators as of April 1, 2024. All reference documentation is available at fssc22000.com.
GFSI recognition and European acceptance
Since February 2010, FSSC 22000 has been recognized by GFSI — the Global Food Safety Initiative-the independent global network sponsored by the Consumer Goods Forum that brings together retailers and manufacturers from more than 150 countries with the goal of ensuring the safety of consumer goods throughout the supply chain. GFSI recognition is now the main reference required by large international retailers to qualify their suppliers and co-packers.
Since October 2010, FSSC 22000 has also been the first GFSI-recognized system certification to receive acceptance by EA — European Cooperation for Accreditation — with the result that all European accreditation bodies recognize certificates issued in accordance with this scheme. The version currently in force is version 6, mandatory for all certified operators from April 1, 2024, which introduces updated requirements on food fraud, food defense, allergen management and food safety culture.

Bioavailability is the proportion of an active ingredient that enters the bloodstream. Factors, a comparison of chemical forms, and their impact on ingredient selection in dietary supplements.
Private Label vs White Label
Private Label and White Label are often confused. The difference lies in who develops the formula — and this affects the timeline, costs, and exclusivity of your product.
